RNC chair Reince Priebus, a former chair of the Wisconsin Republican Party, says there's no need for national political reporters to try and glean anything about the 2012 elections from the state Senate recall fight underway in his home state, where Democrats seem to have the momentum.

RNC Chair: Pay No Attention To The Wisconsin Recalls, National Reporters | TPMDC

This guy is more than happy to sweep this under the rug, but it sure speaks volumes about how the right wing sweep last November is unraveling. Good for you Wisconsn!

That's b/c it has nothing to do with national politics. It's all about WI state politics that at this point have no bearing on the rest of the nation.

However, it may serve to wake America up.

And that should be every rightwingers biggest fear, Americans seeing the truth on how the GOP has screwed the middle class.

When TPM speaks many of our left leaners rebound and get excited. It makes so little difference and I wonder if the unions in Wisconsin can pull this one off. They need to take some lessons from the lefties in the state to their west the way they stole that Senatorial election.

What are you talking about? The GOP supports and campaigns for the state Governors because that is where the union busting happens. Where have you been. Isn't Christie the darling of the GOP? Search thru the threads for last November and see how many were about the gubernatorial races.

Scott Walker was the superstar some months back and the right wing could not get enough of him. Now...not so much.

It has a ton to do with the rest of the nation. It was the first glimpse of what the Koch owned tea party puppets are trying to do and that's destroy the middle class. There is outrage and protests from coast to coast, the american people see how the far right wants to destroy the american dream and convert the country into a corporatist/fascist reign.
The historic win in NY was the first sign and if the democrats stomp the GOP in the recall elections next week it will be a clear sign the american people are fired up, leading to the GOP and especially the tea party getting steamrolled in 2012.

Wisconsin voters had their chance to do this in July. The GOP even put up Democratic challengers to the Dem incumbents. Didn't work out so well for the GOP.

All six Wisconsin Democrats won their recall primaries today, easily fending off challenges from “protest” candidates put forward by Republicans to delay the general elections.

Looks like Wisconsin, not NY, voters have the say over whether those Democrats were traitors or not!
