I bet some of those congress members who turn down their health plans are so wealthy they don't need it.

Only 4 Republican members of Congress have rejected their health care. I'm shocked Ron Paul has it. Maybe all Republicans are hypocrites after all.

Is that really considered public health care/government take-over of health care or is it considered a benefit of having a job with the government? I will admit it's a publicly funded benefit of having a federal job.

In that case, are military men and women who use the health services of the armed forces, but vote TEA Party considered hypocrites too?

Very short sighted OP. Congressional health care plans were exempt from Obamacare. Members of congress enjoy their health care packages as part of their compensation working for the government, just like how millions of Americans also have employer supplied health care benefits. It's part of their benefits package as employees.

What I find hypocritical is that the very people who felt Obamacare would be such a great program for all of us peons, they chose to exempt themselves from having to comply with its regulations. If it's good enough for us, it should be good enough for them as well.

Personally, I think all congressional pay and benefits need to be cut.

Obamacare isnt healthcare.. Rejecting it isnt rejecting healthcare, its rejecting a tax.

How is group A getting healthcare as part of their employment package, saying you shouldnt pay a tax, hypocritical?

Absolutely. To paraphrase the Great Presdent Lincoln, "Those who try to deny health care to others deserve it not for themselves."

I make an exception for the military. Our men and women put their lives on the line for us, and deserve generous health benefits. If the GOP really cares so much about the deficits and destroying government funded anything, then they should share in that sacrifice. Maybe then they'd see how much it would screw over a large section of the American people.

Umm, it's not the left that supports our military men and women. The GOP are the ones fighting military cuts, not the libs.

Hey, I support the military, and I'm on the left. I just don't think our boys and girls should be the world's policemen. They need to defend the U.S., hence the department of defense.

I'm with you there.

It's called defense, not offense.
