its not perfect...but its better than TRYING to tax income, when a majority of income is never reported

many, many jobs are 'off the books"..therefore NO TAX is collected, or reported not fed income, not fed payroll,, not state, not even unemplyment ins payments from the employeer because all the money is under the table.

when you state the fairtax is a jobs killer,,that would ONLY be if you did an END/START instead of a GRADUAL 3 year step plan

Rick Perry: Tax the Poor! | Truthout
No Republican President is going to raise taxes on the poor. They'll cut benefits, they'll slash programs, but they won't raise taxes on the poor, rich, middle class, anyone.

Well, they'll say they'll slash programs. In reality they'll do a Bush, cut taxes AND increase spending. Stupid, double down.

Perry also believes Social Security and Medicare are UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
That means as President he would challenge the to the Supreme KOCH

Under a fair tax or the current system, the renter does not have the $400 bill for electrical work on my rental house this past week.

There's a reason 50% of people don't pay taxes, they can't afford it.
Says who? Everyone can afford a flat tax. Earn little; pay little. Earn A LOT; pay A LOT.

If you earn minimum wage, taking 15 - 20% out of your paycheck is going to hurt you big time.

Even many of the most conservatives judges on the bench now wouldn't rule social security unconstitutional.

No risk of ending social security. And over 70% of Americans support it. Even if it were declared unconstitutional, an amendment would be passed PDQ that would make it constitutional.

I don't think he would be okay with the poor stealing form the rich either but since we have a governmental system that separates church and state, both your point and mine become moot.

There's a reason 50% of people don't pay taxes, they can't afford it. A person making $2 million a year can afford to pay. The wealthy don't need more tax cuts, they're given everything in life on a silver platter anyway.
oh please that 'singlemom' earning 7.25/hr (15k a year) can afford the 1.5k taken out of her pay check...(25 a week) less than what she will spend tio get her nails done

oh...but its ok to DISCRIMINATE and have 35% taken from someone else

everyone should pay the SAME RATE

10-15% with very limited deductions for ALL, and we would have MORE REVENUE than we have now......but liberals dont want to lose the classwarfare
