On the subject of state of the economy quoting ABC TV news "every 7th person you pass on the street is on food stamps" IMO that is alarming.

My husband had a guy come into the store where he works asking to buy a Qt. of oil with food stamps. If he can afford to have a car than he can afford to buy oil right?

Perhaps he was was employed at one time and is now unemployed, hence the food stamps.

yes but auto part stores don't take food stamps and I believe food stamps are only good for the necesseties, like food, water, diapers etc...

Run your car with no oil, and then tell your mechanic, or worse your warranty dealer that oil isn't a necessity. (kidding lubby)
