Yes, but when you do the right thing by the people you represent, you get re-elected.

Doing the right thing? Doing the right thing also involves knowing better than overdo the right thing which then becomes a wrong thing...

I'm not the biggest fan of Christie, and I think he's doing a good job. Today he sent buses to the highrises in Atlantic City where seniors refused to evacuate, saying on TV he will be sending people to speak with them, that they can't force them to move, but that they will try to persuade them to let them take them inland to a shelter with beds, food and water. LOL, yesterday he was yelling, "GET OFF THE BEACHES!!!"

98% of Cape May County evacuated. 95% of Long Beach Island evacuated.

These people won't leave, though.

I hear what you are saying, but I live here. I think they are doing the right thing regardless of politics. Only leaders are prepared, the rest are followers...

I agree. He has busses waiting in front of those complexes. Better then leaving them to get flooded in their parking space..

There was plenty of **** up to go around after Katrina. I agree the Governor and the Mayor should have been better prepared. That still doesn't mean the federal government couldn't have been a little bit smarter to get water down there and ready.

People in Biloxi were getting help the next day, Brownie was doing a heck of a job, in mississippi.

Casting blame on someone else to deflect it from your own faults is pathetic, regardless of who you are.
