That he clearly underestimate the hatred for anything non corporate that Republicans have. That he did not take into account that Republicans would rather ruin the country than help a Democratic President fix the country.

I can see people being enamored and charmed, and sweeping him into office on an emotional wave. What I can't understand is seeing his non-performance, watching the country's state decline during his term, seeing the real person behind the smiling mask, and still supporting him.
