When Republicans had a President at the helm, the country was in a free-fall as Bush's presidency and his administration deemed an utter failure. A Democrat was elected, but Republican obstructionism prevented him from solving the problems he was cursed with from the Bush years. In other words, when Republicans have their way, the country badly falters.

How can you Republicans expect to win the Presidency with such a dismal record going on 11 straight years now? Your candidates sound unqualified, extraordinarily simplistic, without substance, and idiotic.

These are not concerns of the Republican Party. And you have to admit, there's little reason why they should be. This is, after all, the party that was able to foist George W. Bush on the United States not once, but twice! With a record like that, they don't need viable candidates. They don't need issues. And they don't even need popular support. They just plod on in defiance of everything that doesn't make sense to the majority, completely confident that public apathy will put their choice in office.

Every so often, of course, that strategy fails. But not to worry; they've got a contingency plan. It's called "obstructionism."

If I recall the Democrats had control of the House, the Senate and of course the WH for the first 2 years of Obama's presidency.

The reason Obama has failed is because his agenda was far too radical especially considering the economy he inherited. There was three main things in the last presidential election that was at the forefront other than the economy that his base wanted. Healthcare, we all know how that turned out. That made no one happy. Green energy, doesn't take a genius to realize increasing the cost of energy during a recession is not te brightest idea. Last but not least immigration, after taking a beating on the first two I doubt we'll see any action on that.

Progressive policy is a cancer to the US Constitution, that only TEA will cure.

Exactly, and as most people see is at "throwing a tantrum". The american people see this loud and clear from the right wingers and tea party that they are nothing but a bunch of babies acting like spoiled brats that will hold the country hostage and destroy everything they can when they don't get their way. Just looking at the horrific approval numbers from the GOP and especially the tea party, 2012 looks like they are in to get stomped

I think the country really sees it as a call to "Stop the Madness"!

Obama had his party in majority control and all they managed, a budget wasn't one of those things, was to do things the country did not want and said so rather loudly.

Absolutely nothing BO has done or tried to do is good for this country. Thank God we have Republicans in there now that can at least stop the mess BO wants to create. Stopping bad legislation is not obstructionism...it is just "stopping bad legislation."

Hilarious!

You mean he didn't get obamacare passed?

He didn't get his $1+ Trillion stimulus passed?

Financial reform?

Stimulus #2?

You mean he didn't have a huge majority in the House and 60 votes in the Senate to get ANYTHING he wanted passed in the first 2 years?

I smell desperation.
