So if Mr. Krugman thinks W was scaring the fecal matter out of us, what is his opinion of Obama the Apologist?

Yeah bad timing but he is right about the neo-con scum that used this to implement their agenda of profiting from war and thinking they were going to be able to take control of vast amounts of oil.

Then you must be smarter than the current and former 'intelligence' analysts, bureau chiefs, etc that run foreign assets, obtain degrees and spend focus their life on understanding how a specific country or region works, etc, etc

Try reading and learning outside of your apparently close minded circle.

The US has for decades run programs to keep in place, stabilize, neutralize, etc foreign gov'ts to the benefit of the US....except what happens when the long-term implication(s) of those strategies is not a benefit:

Israel
Egypt
Jordan
Lybia
Pakistan
Saudia Arabia

Just to name a few of those with whom "we" have been involved in maintaining that result(ed) in backlash to American foreign policy.

Krugman hit the nail on the head, too bad he waited 10 years to make such a statement.
Journalism has been just as guilty as the main protagonists in covering up instead of asking tough questions

The general public's distrust/skepticism of Muslims has nothing to do with what these "experts" say. It is all about the mainstream Muslims inability to truly reign in the actions of extremists.
