Why? Those that believe the science of Evolution show they have a grasp of reality. Those that don't .....well

True, a lot of conservative people are quite willing to vote for liars if who they're voting for supports banning abortion.

I don't care what they believe. It's when they try to bring it into my classroom is where the problem begins to present itself.

The evolutionists are already doing that.

Because it is science, because it is a verifiable fact, because the Theory that explains it has not been refuted nor supplanted (despite the feverish wishful thinking of desperate Creationists), and also because it is entirely secular and thus doesn't run afoul of the Constitution.

Evolution won this war decades ago.

Ugh, half asleep here. Long day so excuse me. Somehow I read this as someone believing in creationism. You don't have to believe in evolution for it to be true. Believe whatever you like. It doesn't change a thing UNLESS that person governing wants toss in "beliefs" with my factual teachings (evolution) because they don't believe in proven scientific facts.

Those who dimiss evolution dismiss science.

Although they would never admit that they dismiss sceience, still, they do not clearly understand what science mean. they do not give merit to scientific findings, and would be not able to choose correct sources of advice and expertise.

For instance it is a proven fact that abortion ban brings up a decrease (not an increase!) in population. Still there are politicians, who try to ban abortion in order to promote population growth. Just an example.

So, yes, that means they are poorly educated.
They would not listen to scientists and experts and introduce stupid regulations that had been deemed as failure decades ago.

Or possibly worse, fail to recognize the need for regulations that would prevent a whole range of possible disasters.
