Poverty grows in Obama's America.
It isn't Obama's America.

He's been dragged past center to the right by the conservatives. Not to mention, the past decade has seen a dominance of conservative policies.

Increasing the wealth of the elites while sending good paying jobs overseas and forcing more people into poverty. Certainly sounds like the conservative vision.

Obama is just too weak to actually fight these idiots in congress. He's afraid of the media villifying him if he does stand up for himself. Its pretty sad.

The past 2 years have shown that Obama isn't running things. The conservatives are. Bush tax cuts were extended. All the debt ceiling crap. Spending cuts (which have done nothing but increase unemployment).

This is the conservatives America.

That does not even matter. Bill Gates, Santa Clause or Ronald Reagan could be president right now and we would still be facing the same situation.

But I guess Obama does make a good scapegoat.

The problem with these numbers is it counts as "Texans" the flood of illegal immigrants laiving in that state who, by and large, drive up the poverty numbers. It would be interesting to see the numbers when the illegals are not included.

No way to count them. Health care and schools cannot ask immigration status.
Most are paid under the table. Even construction workers. Texas does not have a state income tax or license contractors. Who knows? And that is the way the powers that be want it.

I would've thought that Obama and Perry teaming up to provide subsidized education to illegals would've helped them get a leg up?
