Hey, did you hear? China is having a big polio epidemic. So, don't get your children vaccinated for polio, because it's going to get here eventually, with all the imports from China. I guess your kids will just 'fight it off'. Good luck!
Big problems may occur because of all the third-world illegal immigrants sneaking in and bringing their diseases with them. Don't get any vaccinations and these diseases will spread to the general population. But you won't care, will you?

I will add that as a youth I knew several children who had suffered from polio, and in my job I still see cases of post-polio syndrome. Polio was, of course, a big problem back in the 1950s. Thank goodness for Dr. Salk.
I have thought about your statement this morning. At first glance, I liked it very much: let people opt out, but if they become ill due to the disease, no insurance coverage.
However, after reflection I thought that if that happened, the ill people would simply go to the county hospital or such and still receive treatment, at taxpayer expense.
Anyway, good thought, but perhaps, in the end, costly to those who end up having to pay for the nitwits that forego vaccinations.
Good point. How about the insurance companies have an up charge for those who forgo vaccines? Just like they do for smokers. Greater risk, greater cost.
