NC governor recommends suspending democracy to focus on jobs

Quote:
As a way to solve the national debt crisis, North Carolina Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue recommends suspending Congressional elections for the next couple of years.

...
Perdue said she thinks that temporarily halting elections would allow members of Congress to focus on the economy. “You have to have more ability from Congress, I think, to work together and to get over the partisan bickering and focus on fixing things,” Perdue said.
Unbelievable.

She should be fired just for suggesting that.

I disagree with her, but firing an elected leader for saying things isn't really democratic either. I suspect you're a republican, so no surprise there.

How about firing her for proposing TREASON?

That idea is against the Constitution

North Carolina is free to elect whomever they want to office, but if they were my governor, I'd vote for someone else

So it begins. Next will be the calls to suspend the presidential election I'm sure and if your not for it of course you'll be branded a racist.

By firing - I mean voted out. I would say the same for a Republican.

Voting is our main voice on how the country is run. It is a big deal to suggest putting it aside.

Default Elections are necessary to rid ourselves of Republicans

This won't work because Congress is cursed with too many Republicans, including their clueless tea party segment. We must have an election to get those wothless people out of the way. Their presence continues to cripple this country and insult the dignity and effectiveness of the political process.

We need elections to rid ourselves of the Conservative disease. Governors like Scott Walker must be replaced. Senators like Scott Brown must be replaced. We must get rid of those idiotic tea party Republicans in the House. Congress must rid itself of as many Republicans as possible. We need elections to do this for President Obama's second term.

DRob, Did you say it of Rudy G, who suggested his 2nd term be extended post 9/11/01? Bear in mind, on 09/10 his approval rating was about same as Tea Partys'.
