Great. They shouldn't be in schools to begin with.
Thinking back, my middle and high schoola served Taco Bell, Chick-fil-A, and Pizza Hut options in the cafeteria. It's no wonder a quarter of the kids I went to school with were (and still are) tubs of lard.
And there is probably a higher percentage of obesity among their kids now that the government has gotten involved.
More moeny spoent on more control federally. heck we see what more controls not parental or locally based as done to kids waist lines and lack of exercise.
Does everything have to be a left/right issue? Kids are too fat. I'm 100 percent in support of providing healthy food in cafeterias. Why would anyone not be?
Apparently some haven't gotten the message we sent in the 2010 elections, guess we need to reload for 2012.
A lot of folks are tired of being lectured. Go ahead and offer string beans, beets, cauliflower along with french fries and onion rings. I have no problem with that at all, let the kids choose.
I'll raise my kids though, don't need any assist from you or the "health nutz".
I agree. If parents feel that their rights or the rights of their children are being taken away, perhaps they can make their child's lunch!
I agree. If you want your kid to be a little chubby turd, then feed him french fries and donuts at home. Don't get mad because the rest of us don't want our kids to get diabetes.

Great -- go ahead and stuff your child with garbage. Don't expect public funds to subsidize your efforts though. Buy french fries at home and pack them in your child's lunch.
Ban french fries but promote the eating of carbohydrates in many other forms. Invoke regulations against natural products so that companies will use corn based substitutes and high fructose syrups.
That is the hypocrisy of the government telling us what foods we should or shouldn't be eating. Why is the government even telling us what we should be eating? There is no place for them in this and so may other aspects of our lives.
