Obama feels his power being lost and is getting worried he'll lose in 2012 so he's literally going dictator-gone-wild on the U.S. economy. At the same time they're actually trying to take credit for the recent increase in GDP when his own former CoEA specifically stated that the stimulus would be "winding down early next year (2011). Can't wait for the moving-goal-post spin that's about to come out.

Pretty much. One could argue that this really doesn't change anything and Obama is simply creating symbolic gestures while changing nothing on the ground, but that is different from OMG FREE EDUCATION WE ARE THE USSR!!
