If you have the right equipment staying warm in 20 or 30 degree weather is cake walk, if I knew it wasn't going to snow I used to sleep out with just a ridgerest and sleeping bag in temps like that. the only thing that really sucked was putting on your boots.
NYPD took their generators and gas cans.

There is more than one way to skin a cat, heating a really large tent might present problems because of the amount of fuel needed but keeping small tent moderately warm isn't that big a deal. A small propane lamp will heat it up really quick, even the small oil lamp I described or a candle works in really small tent. There's all kinds of other options like chemical heaters etc. Again, with the right gear 20 or 30 degrees is a cake walk even without an external heat source. If they are really well funded and supplied it could become non issue.

Most OWS people were given everything they wanted their whole lives by mommy and daddy, who ironically are part of the "1%" these kids hate so much. They cannot handle being told no.

If it was at a McDonald's how do you know it was an OWS person oh wait, here is how

Quote:
Fisika Bezabeh, 27, ripped a credit-card reader from a counter and threw it at workers at about 2:30 a.m. at the Mickey D’s at 160 Broadway, a bathroom spot for protesters.
Everyone who goes to that McDonald's is OWS?

1500 BTU's, this would cook you out of small tent.

Coleman - SportCat Perfectemp Catalytic Heater - (http://www.coleman.com/coleman/colemancom/detail.asp?product_id=2000004317&categoryid=3000&b rand= - broken link)

• 1,500 BTU output operates up to 14 hours from one 16.4 oz propane cylinder (not included)

The fear of, and hatred for, their fellow AMERICANS by the anti-OWS crowd is just pathetic.

The protesters are a sampling of ALL Americans..ALL of us are looking in a mirror whether we admit it or not.

.......there's employed, unemployed, hippies, young families, seniors and in betweens, wealthy, poor and in between, intelligent, stupid and in between, criminals, innocents, and in between.....they are AMERICANS.

Americans, demonstrating their rights.....and see how the rightists/neocons/Repugnants hate and fear them and their actions...."Oh , look, there's a scuzzy protester with ZITS! They ALL must have zits!'

Just as all Americans are not the same the protesters , who are Americans, are all not the same.
The protesters are not a club, ANYONE may protest, there are no exclusions....(so Repugs LIED that they excluded people of color, they LIED that they're all rapists, they LIED that they're all unemployed and don't want to work, they LIED and LIED and LIED )

The protesters are not vetted as to their "worthiness" to participate ...they have that AMERICAN right as AMERICANS...

And anynoe who is against them is against AMERICA and all it stands for.

Repugs would've REALLY hated the rabble that protested and STARTED this country.....THAT is how anti-American they are.

Don't compare these displays of anarchy by these spoiled brats to our founding fathers.

To the OWS crowd, getting their student loans forgiven IS as important as fighting another country for your freedom. Definitely an apples to apples comparison for these people.

To the anti OWS, freedom of speech should be only for the rich, and their lackeys.

I'm not against freedom of speech. It's all the other gorp..violence, vandalism, rapes, infighting, etc that are going to give this movement a bad name.

What did shutting down the port in Oakland accomplish ? It wasn't shut down for days or weeks to make an impact.
What it did though was to keep workers (part of that 99%) from working and earning a salary.
