What liberals say they "accept everyone"? Liberals support equality and rights for minorities. They are more accepting of the so called "outcasts" of society. I don't know any liberal that tolerates absolutely everyone. I certainly don't accept the Westboro Baptist Church, or Neo-Nazis, or the KKK, or anti-gay hate groups, etc.
Most conservatives don't accept those groups either. But many liberals accept La Raza, MeCHa, black panthers, etc. and fail to see the hypocrisy. They think if the hate group is made up of minorities, then it's ok, and it's not.

...versus Conservatives who believe that ANY minority group is not ok regardless of what they espouse.
The problem is the lack of middle ground. Nobody should identify as completely conservative or liberal, as most people are both. Too many people have blind loyalty to their political party that doesn't give a rat's ass about them, but defend them to the end rather than admit they are wrong. Everyone should be an independent IMO, do your research and make decisions on what you believe is right, not based on what the Democrat/Republican puppet masters tell you to think.

That would be way too much work. It's just easier to call each other idiots. It frightens me that the behavior of people here are representative of Americans on both sides. You can see it in Washington DC. Our politicians are hard line whatever side they are on and absolutely refuse to compromise and seek middle ground. We really have gotten what we asked for.
Because I care about my country and our citizens. That's why I'm a liberal.
Because Gandhi taught wisdom about treating even the lower castes in society....and bcs the far right admires pigs feeding at the trough like limbaugh and Gingrich... truly a disgusting visual, lol.
My liberalism comes out of my military service. Serving on a ship in the blue water Navy requires everyone to do their job correctly and to look out for other people as well as yourself. Without the internal sacrifice and cooperation derived from self control a ship is just an iron prison with an increased chance of drowning.
My economic liberalism is based on the observation that human talent is not confined to any particular class. I believe if everyone has food, clothing, shelter, medical care and access to education then the talented from the poor will be able to actually make the best of what they can be and thus contribute to the overall society. This is the ocean that raises all ships not just the leaky tubs in the deepest part.
IMHO the ideal result of a liberal economics would be a nearly classless society with very few poor and even fewer hyper wealthy.
Why are conservatives so worried about women's uterus's. They want to keep women barefoot, pregnant, uneducated and subserviant.
Nah.
Both my wife and my daughter are better educated than I.
