Hermain Cain was so sure that his 9-9-9 plan was a sure-bet, but why wasn't this plan endorsed by the Republicans in Congress and pushed as a solution to today's Bush-induced economic problems? Because it was a ridiculous plan, no doubt. If 9-9-9 was an ingenious solution to the econmic problems, do you Republicans think that President Obama would've ignored the plan because it came from a Republican? Absolutely not. If Romney or Gingrich or Bachmann had better solutions to solve this nation's problems, why hasn't the Republican contingent in Congress adopted any of their plans? Because the plans are ludicrous, the result of ramblings by people who aren't privy to the range of information that comes with actually being the President.
My point is that it is easy for Republican candidates to speculate on what would work if they were President. But the fact is that, if ANY Republican had a credible, viable, creative solution that helped the country (not just the rich), President Obama would've not only given it serious consideration, he would've implemented it if it was superior to any other plan under review.
It's obvious that your postering about what you would do for the country is a lot of hot air...as usual.
Not great wording of the title that's for sure, but I think the guy means to talk about the divide between the Republican presidential candidates and the Republican congress.
In watching some of the debates, you'd swear they were running for congress. It was a slew of "Obama bad" and "under my plan" type statements. It was as if they thought that the President could snap his fingers and have whatever he wants put in place.
I've thought that as well. Some of these ideas and plans don't have a prayer of passing. That would be a good question for Ron Paul. He wants to get rid of FEMA but I don't think there's any member of congress that would vote for that so if he became President, how could he get it done? We have a President, half of congress and 75+% of the nation supporting increased taxes for the rich and it can't even get done.
