Thank you. I've been looking for a name for his shtick. He "mocks" people. Excellent.

I have found that he only "mocks" hypocrites. He's pretty nice and understanding of the average person.

Don't thank me, thank the poster to whom I was responding - I was just repeating his choice of words.

Why is it that angry atheists always feel compelled to provide their "insightful" views on Christmas, given that they hate Christianity? It has all the veracity as hitler's views on Passover. Maher is just another angry liberal who falsely presumes intellectual superiority.

No, Maher is speaking against the worship of material things. If material things are what Christians indeed worship, than you should feel offended.

Then I owe somebody a "thank you".

Please keep your's. I appreciate your kindness in not telling me I was an idiot for responding to the wrong poster. You also get a cookie.

(Stomping foot.) I want witty. I want funny. I want edginess. (Big difference between being edgy and taking the easy shot at the rich people. Or at Christians.) Why is he even a "star"? I saw more originality in my kids' high school talent show.

We get it, you don't like him. My husband doesn't care for him either. My son and I enjoy the hell out of his show. My husband prefers watching Seinfeld over and over and over again....What can I say.

I think he's witty, funny, and edgy. I don't really see him taking any easy shots and "rich people". Are you sure you're watching the same show?
