Bill Maher, to me, is a hypocrite. Although I don't like Oprah or Ellen, they have both gave significant amounts to those less fortunate. Oprah has started schools across the world and built shelters and homes and has gave alot of money to missions and charities. What exactly has Bill Maher done to be judging what he thinks Oprah hasn't? Besides raking in the millions he has. For him to claim to be a liberal is laughable.
Agreed. I am sure Bill donates most of his paycheck and lives a very modest and sacrificial life. Or at least in his mind he does.
Maybe you didn't watch it then as he opens by saying "Merry Christmas"
And, when you watch the entire segment, it is clear that he was being sarcastic, not sincere. It was a bit from his show, which is built on satire and sarcasm, which, I guess, are lost on literalists...

No. He has his moments, but also exhibits his extreme bias just like most entertainers. So, yes, his sh1i stinks just like everyone else.
Get me a faceoff with Maher on national TV and I would make that little angry man cry. He is nothing but a clown who says things to get a rise out of people and get ratings. his rants against the religious are the only reason he got on TV in the first place.

Just remember, he is an entertainer.... and entertainers do things to get people to watch or they go broke.
The ONLY measure of an entertainer is the viewer statistics.
Maher is correct. Oprah and Ellen need to be redistributing those goods to the oppressed communities, not giving them to overweight housefraus.
