No reason to hate O'Reilly... his commentaries and talking points on his TV show make a lot of sense very often. He has also done a lot of good, for instance, pushing for "Jessica's Law" to be passed in every state and when he exposed money donated to the Red Cross after the 9/11 attacks not going where it was intended.
Not saying he is a horrible person, I don't know him. I just find him to be extremely arrogant.
Keeping that in my mind, I will actually... side with O'Reilly this time.
I saw him jabbing someone with an umbrella. Would you have that attitude if an OWS person did that to your spouse, father, mother, or you? What would your reaction be?
Nobody in my family would be as obnoxious as the person following O'Reilly in that brief video we saw, I can only assume that what we saw was preceded by more of that. I would never have to worry about that situation taking place so your question isn't valid.
I'm guessing the same folks who've said O'Reilly was just defending his ground, or that it was "self defense" (LMAO), or funnier still, that they'd have defended themselves a lot more violently than that, would no way in hell be defending Bill Moyers had he resorted to physical violence here.
Elephants could stand on the head of a pin before we'd see a one of them call for Moyers to beat the crap out of that worthless POS, or whine that it was an annoying person bugging Moyers [in the middle of traffic].. geesh who needs that? what's wrong with people.. we really ought to have a modicum of respect.
O'Reilly is a public figure, and he makes it very clear that public figures are open game. He's said it a million times. So he should've just answered the question (cuz it was no big deal unless going to a Gingrich fundraiser is against FN policy) and kept it moving
He doesnt have to answer a question some random guy on the street is asking him.
Interesting. When a right winger attacks someone, it's just being "confident"
What "attack?"
