I thought it was a good experience for her, actually. She is able to see what we experience in the real world; a variety of opinions with some well-formed and others simply dogma. I am only this way because she is old enough to perform her own critical thinking and because she is still learning the subject he has been charged to teach.

It's not that controversial. I mean, it's not like anyone's life changes if they believe, even for a short while, in global warming or not. It doesn't tear families apart or jepordize anyones soul or go against anyone morals. If anyone decides this is an important issue they will be keeping up with the latest scientific theories.

Al Gore funed 90% of the scientists? ::choke:: Fire a teacher? ::gag::

Remember kids, promoting agendas are wrong and are not OK unless it is my own agenda.

Honestly the parents here patronizing each other about how they "teach" their kids the "lies about global warming" are pathetic excuses for parents and do nothing more than brainwash their kids with their blatant bias, rather than having them think critically and do some research on this matter. Oh wait, I forgot anything that involves science is liberal bias. And people wonder why this country is getting more dumb by the generation...

Anyone who denies that human pollution has no effect on the climate is heavily deluding themselves and their offspring.

Most global warming deniers support the GOP, and for them it is a political issue...It really doesn't matter that global warming is a fact, because they are just following GOP dogma and are not really thinking for themselves...The truth is not as important to them as heeling to what they think the party dictates, so that is what they are teaching their kids.

Three years ago, prominent Republicans including Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rep. John Boehner (R-OH), Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI), Tim Pawlenty, and Sarah Palin all expressed belief in human-caused climate change. Several even voiced strong support for policies to cap and reduce carbon pollution. Today, all six of these leaders have joined the rest of the Republican Party in a sudden and near-unified retreat to silence or denial. A NASA satellite found that 430 billion metric tons of ice melted in Greenland from 2010 to 2011, and the melting is accelerating. Since 2000, Greenland's 39 widest glaciers shrunk by nearly 530 square miles, about the equivalent of 22 Manhattans.

This year's temperature is roughly 2.5 degrees Fahrenheit higher than what had been normal since 1980. Federal report: Arctic much worse since 2006

Parents can un-indoctriate their kdis -- but if the kids really believe this, it might help them to remember to close the doors in the winter and that helps with heating bills.

For all the hand-wringing the liberals do, why do they want to keep the borders open, bring in millions of people from warm weather climates who will need a lot of heat and energy here, and keep providing government handouts to impoverished people to breed?

Speaking of indoctrination, how about an eight year old becoming a vegaterian because of the animal cruelity she was taught about in school?

Real question here.
Yes and I have grandchildren too...

One thing I have discussed at length with them is not to blindly accept "the facts" just because there is a majority of "experts" who say they agree with those facts...

How many times in human history has the majority of "experts" been proven wrong?

~ Too many times ~

You people need to do your research on Maurice Strong and Ben Santer, and their ties to Al Gore and the Rothchild's.

Check out what the World Conservation Bank, really is and what their ties to the UN are.

Nothing like reading between the lines and putting words where none existed...

Who said anywhere in this thread "that human pollution has no effect on the climate"???????

International Man of Mystery: Who Is Maurice Strong?

Ever hear of "Crisis Crony Capitalism"

Where the Government creates a crisis to fuel their buddies businesses?

Halliburton comes to mind. In Iraq and with the Gulf oil spill.

Now you have an administration creating an energy crisis.... For what?
Look into Maurice Strong!
