Merry Christmas~Happy Chanukah~ Happy Festivus etc etc etc to all posters on C-D regardless of race, religion, creed, sexual preference, ethnicity, political party affiliation.
Of all the things I hate about politics, one of the worst is the way the major parties have "scooted" the primary calendar up to the point where it interferes with the Christmas and New Year holidays. Iowa will happen on January 3rd. This is way too soon for my liking. No party should have any contest until at least March 1st in my view and no candidates should even start running until January 2nd. We Americans deserve to have our holidays free of political campaigns. It is stupid to see campaign signs on yards next to Santa and Rudolph or even worse next to the Mary, Joseph and Jesus in the manger. This is the time of the year for people to gather and share joy with each other whether we are Democrats or Republicans.
I will wish you a Merry Christmas although you wished me Happy Holiday. I only accept Christmas as good.
Happy Kwanza, Happy Chanukkah, and Happy Festivus Roy!!!
