A. You'd trade the right to a trial for an SS check?
B. Ron Paul does not plan to be dictator as far as I'm aware.

So sad that even with this bill, you still play partisan games and refuse to admit how horrible this piece of legislation is. You'd rather our Bill of Rights be burned, than lose a partisan argument. So sad our country has come to this.

Truly the greatest power play in history was the establishment of the welfare state. Get the people hooked on these "guaranteed" (so much for that, given that the gov can't keep its hands out of the money pot) transfer payments and when you ask them to jump they'll say "how high?"

Totally disappointed. Don't like it one bit. Still spending nearly 700 billion a year is a travesty of epic proportions and the American taxpayer should be ashamed. The fact that they aren't says all i need to know.

This president is a hawk. I knew he was a hawk going in, but i didn't know he was quite THIS hawkish.

Still, what alternative do i have? Republicans are still talking about wanting defense HIKES...not cuts.

The evil of concentrated power.

I'll give you my take on it as a guy who supported him last election and bought into the "hope and change"....he can use his lying lips to kiss my ass.

He is no better than the dirtbag he replaced imho.

How's that for the truth for ya?

It wasn't a power play. SS was needed. That's why it was brought into existence.

And it's still needed. It's not about asserting control over people, but folks that live on fixed incomes need their SS in the real world.

It's a horrible move by Obama, who has a history of horrible moves.

Yet still better than most of the Republican candidates, and that's really freaking sad.
