Perhaps you're talking about post #5 on a thread that was merged into this one?
Yes. She was referring to the post by Leicestern (or whatever his name is...).

I am so happy about this. I have actually been a little disappointed in Governor Gregoire because she has seemed, to me, to be reluctant to endorse marriage equality, while still supporting "partnership rights."

I've also been a little jealous of the states who have already legalized same sex marriage - I like to think those of us on the West Coast are pretty progressive.

I'm not sure what the process will be or how long it will take, but I so support this and hope that Washington can soon be added to the list of progressive and fair states that has marriage equality.

Good job, Governor Gregoire!
Yet another democratic party demographic rewarded with political patronage. Yahoo.

The Washington State Senate just passed a bill repealing the ban on gay marriage by a vote of 28-21.

Yep. Just a matter of days until Washington is the 7th state (plus DC and the Coquille Tribe) to have marriage equality.

Very glad. This makes Washington State that much more progressive and forward-thinking.

Good job, Governor Gregoire!

You mean that gays cannot marry in Washington?

A gay man doesn't have the right to marry a woman, like everyone else?

That's absurd!

I think it really just hit me a few minutes ago that this is really happening. Not to sound too overly dramatic, but it kind of gave me chills.

I am so happy that couples in love get to do this and that they actually get to use the term "marriage," despite the wishes of some.

Now....for the other 43 states!!!

You know what? Go away.

This is a great day for this state and I'm not going to let someone try to ruin it by bringing that old, tired, totally unreasonable argument into the conversation.

I am thrilled that this has happened in this state and I will continue to hope that other states will follow suit. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Oregon is next.
