Ventura was not a SEAL. He was UDT. There is a major difference between the two.
I think that the major difference is that UDT was the precursor of the SEAL group. No time will you find the new group to be the same as the one that preceded it. Ventura was there before the formation of the SEAL group and deserved to be knocked on his butt when saying what he said to a man who is credited with 160 kills in Iraq.
I can only see the title of this thread but I would like to know why Kyle ran away
after punching Ventura.....
Kyle told O'Reilly the other night that he ran because he had been trained to avoid contact with police for doing things like he did to Ventura. Their training is very precise and real.
Since when is 1 mans word the bible? There are always 2 sides to every story especially when 1 of the sides is selling a book!!!
I would like to hear Jesse's version before taking anyone's side.
Can't a man express his opinion? There is the view that any time the military backs an improper war, that they are liable for the blame.
I disagree with this view myself, that the men and women are out there trying their best, to make the best of a bad situation.
But Ventura is entitled to his opinion, and shouldn't have been assaulted just for disagreeing with the war. Now, if the reports are true about the personal stuff while the family was there grieving are true, I'd say a good ass kicking is indeed in order.
I am pretty sure that the other members of the SEAL group who were there could verify what took place. Ventura deserved what he got and should have been kicked while on the floor. I say this because he was told about the family members and repeated the part about deserving some killing.
Do you know about the Sniper, the best in Iraq? He had one kill recorded of over 1 mile. When he drew a bead there was a dead terrorist. He served 4 tours in Iraq.

Turkey shooter, skull hat, black uniform, women killer, bragging about 160 dead? And he is "credited" with 160 kills? What a pick of a word "credited". The sniper guy is sick. Even if his sickness "served military", he's sick anyway.

I agree that Ventura was in need of being knocked on his butt. I'd gladly buy the SEAL a beer for having done it.
UDT was a precursor to SEAL but is in no way comparable. Ventura has not been at all shy about claiming SEAL status without having earned the honor.
Wow. Walk up to SEALS who just lost a comrade, and tell them that they deserved to lose a few guys.
Jee.
Zis.
Christ.
I don't know what Jesse was expecting to happen after saying that (assuming he even thought it through, which is doubtful), but he deserved that. There's times and places for being an insensitive a$$hole when expressing anti-war views, but I got this funny feeling that a SEAL bar is not one of those places, at any time.
Nice to find out a blowhard got put on his ass. How disrespectful.
Now having said that I'm sure that the seal sniper isn't all that innocent in this scenario.
