France has very little racism. The actress Brigitte Bardot was fined $15,000 for racist comments about Muslims.

America's history is intertwined with France. The French Enlightenment with the likes of Rousseau and Voltaire had a great influence on America.

France is still teaching us lessons on censorship and the new civility.

Censorship. Hmmmmm
When it comes to the media I would agree that in the interest of national security that they shoulf be gagged.
I would also say that we don't hold the media accountable enough for bad reporting and twisting facts with distortions.
The same can be said of our elected reps.

SOPA is organized by capitalists in Hollywood. That is why there is the uproar.

A group with good intentions needs to start a SOPA like movement.

If censorship is so good why is there such an uproar over PIPA/SOPA?

If you mean civility = agree with you then I guess I'm not a civil person.

Kinda like when Arizona decided to censor the reading material provided for school children by saying 'nothing native American or Hispanic authors.' I don't even live in AZ and that one p*ssed me off.
