Are you so partisan that you don't see that the people see when someone pleads the 5th that he has done something wrong. What other reason could there be? All your examples are about people who did it to protect themselves. I think just as low about them as I will about this man. Party means nothing to me.

Do we go by the COnstitution, and the fact that one is innocent in this COuntry until proven guilty, or do we go by "what people see when someone pleads the fifth?" That darned Constitution - always gets in the way.

By the way, Lott's B-I-L refused to testify to protect Lott; Callista refused to testify on advice of her lawyers (Who advised that adultery was a crime)to protect Newt during his divorce proceedings. These were not just protecting themselves, but others, too.
Like I said, IF Congress really wants answers, they can get it by granting immunity. We shall see.

and lol, Nixon, Halderman, Ehrlichmannn, and many have been corrupt and pleaded the fifth in any legal proceeding where they are accused of criminal action, the suspect is not required to take the stand and incriminate himself.
Its the law. many politicians throughout history have been criminals, no new news here to those with a brain.
If people watched the first of the hearings on this, you will find that the Agents testified that they informed their superiors of the problems and concerns. So to cry cover-up is exaggeration at best.
This is no cover up, it is out in the open, wide open....what we are seeing now is who is going to tell what, tell the truth and take the responsibility. This should have never happened and those who did allow this will eventually have to ante up.

I have no problem with them taking the 5th. But I do have a problem with hypocrits who would be screaming in the street if it were the Bush administration.
They just don't realize it yet, b/c they think it's just a recent event. The same people who are going to plead the 5th...are the same people under the Bush administration who started these programs.
