It was not excusable "then", and it is not excusable "now".

It wasn't excusable then?

Care to explain how the actions of arguably the most watched, most documented man on earth aren't remembered unless by deliberate action?

Nope. Never work for a federal or state again. Will almost certainly go to private practice in Phoenix. With his skills set he will make a mint...

BTW, are you talking about Calista Gingrich doing her trick lately. I guess I missed your story.
Do we go by the COnstitution, and the fact that one is innocent in this COuntry until proven guilty, or do we go by "what people see when someone pleads the fifth?" That darned Constitution - always gets in the way.

I don't think low of someone who invokes their constitutional rights.

By the way, Lott's B-I-L refused to testify to protect Lott; Callista refused to testify on advice of her lawyers (Who advised that adultery was a crime)to protect Newt during his divorce proceedings. These were not just protecting themselves, but others, too.

Like I said, IF Congress really wants answers, they can get it by granting immunity. We shall see.

Yes.
and lol, Nixon, Halderman, Ehrlichmannn, and many have been corrupt and pleaded the fifth in any legal proceeding where they are accused of criminal action, the suspect is not required to take the stand and incriminate himself.

Its the law. many politicians throughout history have been criminals, no new news here to those with a brain.

OK, he pleads the 5th - does not testify -the investigation proceeds - the evidence is discovered - he is hanged without mercy.

This is no cover up, it is out in the open, wide open....what we are seeing now is who is going to tell what, tell the truth and take the responsibility. This should have never happened and those who did allow this will eventually have to ante up.
You think, Eric Holder will take responsibility, for the death of Agent Brain Terry?

They just don't realize it yet, b/c they think it's just a recent event. The same people who are going to plead the 5th...are the same people under the Bush administration who started these programs.
