I can show you Cadillac Escalades and Mercedes cars parked in front of the projects all over my town. I can show you people that I sign those unemployment forms for that pull out in those very cars and wear big gold chains and rings... How does that not hold up?
If there's gambling casinos nearby, they can probably be found parked there in all hours of the day and night.
Yes, unemployed Americans want to work. At least the majority do anyway. It is not that easy living on an unemployment check. Why do you think there are tent cities now?
Of course there are unemployed Americans who are lazy. There are also employed Americans who are lazy. I walked in to an office for an interview appointment and the woman behind the counter had a Solitaire game on. Then, I went out to eat back when I had the money and the waitress talked on her cell phone the whole time. I don't think the two employed Americans I just mentioned really want to work either.
Drug dealers don't get on welfare. You don't know what you're talking about.

That's an extreme anomaly and everyone with some street sense and half a brain knows it. The whole point of selling dope is to remain under the radar, not put your name in a government database with your phone number and address. Real drug dealers don't set foot in welfare offices or ANY government office at any time unless they plan on going to jail.

Actualy when plowing in the ghetto during the last storm , there was a woman with a mercedes SUV, and she couldn't move it because it had no gas. I suppose the idea of buying less car and saving some money for gas never crossed her mind.
So the car made it in front of her house, but mysteriously didn't have enough gas to move a few feet Really?
So she could somehow afford a payment, but not the gas. Most folks will buy gas and avoid making the payment. They aren't interested in making a payment on a car they can't drive. But I find the fact that the car made it home, but didn't have enough vapor to move to be highly dubious.
You guys need to get some better welfare stories. These are getting tired.

Forgive me if you are offended but I want to share my experiences and look for responses.
I live in the south eastern area of the country. In my town, a great deal of people live in government housing projects yet they drive expensive cars. Some live off of the government unemployment checks, yet they don't try to get jobs. Where I work, I deal with around 5-10 people a week that come in and ask me to sign a letter stating that they attempted to get employment for their unemployment checks. Many of them refuse to take the time to even apply. How is it that this system is efficient? I'm not generalizing because i know many people that use unemployment and get jobs and do well for themselves. I just think its odd that the country is heading towards a people of entitlement rather than a working people. Does anyone else see something wrong with people living on government assistance while they buy expensive clothes cars and jewelry?
Most people want to work. Your sample size in no way represents the country as a whole.
Are there lazy people? Sure. So? What will those people get out of life being that lazy? Not much.
