Anyone who votes "yes" on a bill whose contents won't be known until after you vote for it per the explicit admission of your own party's Speaker of the House has no business saying "gee I didn't know" after the fact.
Pelosi wasn't directing that comment to Congress and all those who voted for it were capable of reading it before voting on it.
funny - plenty people talked about how it was included back at that time. maybe she should have hired better staffers. Funny what politicians say after they are out of office.
I think Obama fooled a lot of people. Trust gone cannot easily be regained.
"In November, New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, held what he describes as an "extraordinarily friendly" meeting with Obama at the White House."
"The president assured the archbishop of his respect for the Church, and the archbishop came away persuaded Obama would never force the Church to adopt any policy that would violate her principles."

Nobody is capable of reading a 2,500-page bill in the few days between when it was introduced and when debate started on it. The best you can do is hope your army of staffers didn't miss anything when summarizing the bill for you.
I'm sure lots of Democrats "regret" voting for Obamacare because it has turned into a "thorn in my side" electability issue in a nation where the pendulum is swinging back towards conservatism.
How do you figure? The GOP presidential election has been a three ring circus, the party is in complete disarray that can't back a single candidate, all are losing to Obama in the polls, GOP voter turnout in the primaries has been low, there has been massive backlash against the hard right such as in wisconsin bringing the biggest recall effort in US history by double the amount of signatures needed, the tea party governor in Ohio is one of the lowest approved in the nation, his middle class attacking bill was recalled by the people in large double digit numbers, once taking over the house the GOP has given congress it's lowest approval ratings in us history,..The people gave the tea party a chance in 2010 and are having massive buyer's remorse. The pendulum has swung, and it's going to the left.

Many are long serving congresspeople and it's not uncommon to see people not running for re-election, but the vast majority are. The ones that are retiring are mainly from heavy D safe districts so don't think the R's are going to make any gains (which so far it's predicted they won't)

The writing is on the wall, the american people are sick of the extreme right's attacks on the middle class, blocking absolutely everything the dems and Obama try to do to better the country, refusing to make any cuts to balance the budget, causing the nation's credit rating to go down, not to mention all their childish nonsense with the birther crap.

Churches are exempted from this mandate.
Hospitals and schools are not churches.
Like I said, Trust gone, cannot easily be regained. (The word "trust," would still mean "trust" even I forgot to cross the "t.")
