I'm a libertarian and don't like the Demoncat party, but really all first ladies pick some innocuous do-good cause to trumpet. People SHOULD eat more veggies. And I don't care how much she spent on lingerie!

I wish she was more open to other diets instead of just the government's recommendations. Many people have benefitted from varying degrees of carbohydrate restriction. Just ditching processed crap (even if it has a red check (R) on the label) would do a lot of good. As it is now, the low-fat, whole grain, exercise 30-60 min. most days of the week recommendations can be too puritanical and gruelling even.

Marilyn would be considered obese by the ridiculous standards of haute couture in todays world.
