I can't remember any other President changing the tone of his voice to appease a certain group of people. Bill Clinton was loved in the black community, and when he spoke and black churches and events his voice and tone were consistent! African Americans that i have spoken to have mentioned this to me! they have said to a fault that they like Obama because he is black.. but respected Clinton far more as a President for his skill and ability to understand people!

I've said this for a long time. When he gets in front of blacks, the "act" comes out. He begins bee bopping, and catching the Holy Ghost while muttering Jay Z and Al Green songs. I don't believe it's natural for a minute. Every appearence by a public offical of his caliber is politically influenced. His consultants instruct him on his behavior.

Nothing new from this clown. He shows his true colors when he is front of certain people/groups. Groups like SEIU. The guy is trash. How anyone can vote for this fool is just astonishing.

Trying to sound like some black wanna be reverend.

It's like a President taking off his tie and wearing a pair of jeans to visit mine or auto workers. He's just letting his guard down and connecting with the people he is communicating with. Just shows again the education and the class of the man.

Lots of black people that I know, including myself, "code switch". That is to say, when I'm in a professional environment, I speak in a professional manner. When I'm at home relaxing with my family and friends or folks that I know from around the way, I use more slang. This is not unusual and I don't find it to be a problem at all.

OP, are you black? If not, why does this even concern/bother you?

Common handling techniques comes to mind.

Do you have any inside info he is not instructed on how to act? Do u work at the WH close to the POTUS?

How else do you figure a man that was once homeless and a cocaine user, has no accomplishments in the real world, and has a sketchy past gets into the highest position politically in the U.S.?

Seems there must be a little coaching going on.
