Not only was the Pentagon dumping the cremated remains over servicemen in landfills they dumped some of remains of the Shacksville, flight 93, and Pentagon victims into landfills.
And you felt the need to add "Bush's" to this for what reason?
Probably because he read the article, which states:
Quote:
The Air Force acknowledged that it had disposed of the incinerated remains of at least 274 service members in the landfill before it ended the practice in 2008. At the time, officials said records went back only to 2003.
But the independent panel found that the practice went back at least to 2001, and it discovered that "several portions of remains" recovered from the 9/11 attacks at the Pentagon and at Shanksville, Pa., also ended up in a landfill, where they were put by a contractor.
and he wanted to forestall the inevitable Obama blaming by people who are poor readers. I'm just guessing here; I'm sure the OP will confirm or refute my assessment.

I don't think it has anything to do with Bush.
But.........................................you know damn well had the practice been continued beyond 2009 there'd be a thread somewhere labeled Obama's Pentagon yada, yada, yada.
And both parties are happy, maintaining the 'us vs. them' mentality allows them to keep people from realizing that both parties suck.

I was about to ask about the Bush reference, but your answer makes perfect sense.
Because of the year it started, and the year it ended.

However, I don't think Pres. Bush had much to do with it.
As bad as it sounds, i'm prepared to look the other direction on this. It's not like the U.S. was prepared to handle a death toll in the thousands in a matter of minutes or even days or weeks.
It doesn't make me happy....but I do have trouble assigning fault.

According to the article they had no plans to handle the deaths of 274 service members which seems a bit odd for a military at war.
