No one is going to be "rolling" anywhere if gas surpasses $5.00 a gallon, least of all Obama or the economy.

Or if you want to get food stamps:

U.S. Food-Stamp Use Hit Record 46.5M in Dec. - Bloomberg

Quote:
U.S. food-stamp use, which Republicans have cited as evidence of a failing economy, rose 0.5 percent to a record in December, the government said.

About 46.514 million Americans received aid, up from 46.286 million in November, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said today in an e-mail. Participation was 5.5 percent higher than a year earlier.

Food stamps have become a theme in the presidential campaign, as enrollment has increased 47 percent since December 2008, the month before President Barack Obama took office. Annual spending has more than doubled in four years to a record$75.3 billion, a level called unsustainable by Republicans including Newt Gingrich, who has labeled Obama “the best food-stamp president in American history.”

The number of Americans receiving assistance under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the initiative better-known as food stamps, set records every month from December 2008 until June 2011.
The government spent $6.22 billion on the program in December, the last month for which food-stamp figures are available.
Maybe the increase of US citizen babies enrolled for food stamps a week after they are born would account for some of that increase?

At 63.7% participation, we have trillion dollar deficits from now until insolvency.

Get it?

It says that, like patriot Ron Paul, I care about my country. There are still a few of us out here who celebrate liberty, freedom and constitutional justice. The United States used to be about something. Now it is about government control over our lives and (increasingly) our thoughts. Independent thinking is now seen as a danger to Obama and his social army. The USA becomes less free while other nations become more free.

There exists an unholy alliance between the big dollar democrat party machine, mass corporate media and the religion of corporate oligarchy whose God is not Jesus but the almighty dollar.

Hussein Obama's skilled use of organized government union labor and "educated' leftist urban elites has pretty much brainwashed the less thoughtful masses. It is sad, but at the same time, heartening that faithful rural Americans are the last line of defense left against urban immorality and decadence. I still believe that the country can be saved and the ideals of freedom and liberty will shine through and defeat the dark forces of "tolerance" and "social justice".

...but not in this election cycle. Obama will win and America will lose.

The numbers are what they are. Jobless claims are down. Optimism about the economy is up.
Yes they were. Directly at me.

Jobless claims are down from what I know simply due to ui running out and underemployment. This woul be the reason for more people on govt assistance. See how stats can be a little funny?

Not really. In 1980 Reagan was picked to lose in a major way, but the vast "silent majority" thought otherwise.

It DOESN'T MATTER how long YOU expect them to participate - YOU have no say in their retirement. YOU can't stop time. People are going to retire whether YOU expect them to or not - and the fact is, the huge demographic wave that represents the Babyboomers (the BIGGEST generation in history) are starting to retire - driving the labor participation rate DOWN.

That's just a fact.
