Republican Lawyers Group's Own Study Undercuts Vote Fraud Claims

A Republican National Lawyers Association effort to discredit the NAACP backfires by showing voter fraud - impersonating other voters - barely occurs.

The RNLA produced data showing 46 states and various convictions for voter fraud. Presumably by their absence, 4 states and the District of Columbia had no convictions.

The data shows that during the entire 10 year period, 21 states had only 1 or 2 convictions for some form of voter irregularity. And some of these 21 states have the strictest form of voter ID laws based on a finding of 2 or less convictions in ten years. Five states had a total of three convictions over a ten year period. Rhode Island had 4 convictions for the same 10 years. Taking a close look at the RNLA data shows 30 states, including the District of Columbia had 3 or less voter fraud convictions for a 10 year period

Election law seminars that a Republican lawyers group held in Illinois — which happened to coincide with GOP senate candidate Mark Kirk being secretly recorded saying his campaign would be running voter integrity squads in predominately black neighborhoods of Chicago — are actually part of a series of seminars the group is holding for Republican lawyers in several states around the country

The RNLA has been involved with training lawyers in the past several elections, has a particular focus on allegations of voter fraud and focuses on efforts which they are are meant to ensure “ballot security” or “election integrity,” which many voting rights experts say suppress minority turnout.

Anyone can form the factual position that the Republicans are attempting to circumvent the voting rights of people who do not vote Republican.

one single account of fraud is enough. Why do you Lefties ignore it? Is it because MOST of the fraud votes are for Democrats?

A lawyer's group is not all conservatives or Republicans. It is about .000005%.

As a conservative here in the left coast of California where we have suffered 40 years of Democrat rule we have seen the tragedy of having them in charge and the effect of no voter ID in maintaining the fraud and Democrat control.

Purge voter rolls and for sure make people identify themselves.

Man Nominated As Delegate To Gingrich Campaign Pleaded Guilty To ‘Voter Fraud’

Back in 1991, Charles Augustyniak pleaded guilty to a voter registration violation after he tried to register his mother, father and brother (who lived in Du Page County, Illinois) as Cook County voters.

All to distract attention from election fraud. Blame the people, not the system, not the corruptible machines we use to count votes. Forget the political leanings of its manufacturers and ignore the fact that its software is proprietary. Um, counting votes is proprietary?

1. So what if there aren't very many cases of it. We should still try to stop it. There aren't too many cases of cannibalism either. Should we have just let Jeffrey Dahmer go on eating people?

2. You absolutey cannot form a "factual" position that Republicans are attemtping to circumvent the voting rights of people, because no such thing has happened.

3. If you can't prove who are you, you shouldn't vote.

LOL good one , the only fraud ever going on is almost always from the right wing goons. Just for example in the recent recall elections in Wisconsin with the GOP running fake candidates, sending out bogus absentee ballots in an attempt to throw the election, ripping up and stealing the recall petitions, spitting in volunteer's faces,...Acting like vial out of control animals are GOP staples.

To the OP it's likely their typical diversion tactics to try and point the other way, when they are the ones doing it themselves. The same goes with all the gay sex scandals that pop up all the time from GOP constituents.
