Limbaugh picked on a non public figure who is pretty much one of us, maher picked on palin who is a public figure and who is not immune to anything much less is Obama from the right wing nuts who constantly bangs on about him from his birth place, religion, ideology, black man, smoking a joint.

At least maher didnt pick on anyone smaller than him, look at limbaugh the fat boy school playground bully who has 5h!t for brains.

I'm sure if there were even any half truths of him (Obama) wearing womens pink under wear, the wing nuts would cream it for all its worth.

I watched the video. The guy makes a good point. Perhaps I'll see it your way if someone can direct me to Maher quotes and some way to take them in context. Rush went on and on and got downright creepy at the end of his spiel.

To be fair, if Rush had've simply said, "I think Fluke doing this makes her a s***" and then moved on to something else or another point, you'd be pretty much right to equate the two bozos

There is no difference, other than what maher said about conservative women is so much worse.

They are both entertainers.

They're both idiots, but what a ridiculous excuse to defend Maher.

He is not labelled "the Spin Doctor" by Valerie Jarrett, for nothing.

Incorrect, she was on national TV and was a Democrat activist.

You may think they are both entertainers but Rushes followers think he's god They drool over the fact that they are actually talking to him. These are pathetic people who probably have no life. I have to say I find these people scary.

I've never thought of Limbaugh as an entertainer. Something to do with the format of Maher's show vs the format of Limbaugh's show presents a subtle difference in how they're received by the public, I submit. At very least, it'd be hard to argue that Maher himself seems to take himself and his stance just a little less seriously than Limbaugh. Or at least from what I've seen from each program (which isn't much, I confess).

There is no difference in my view. I can't stand sarah palin to be honest, she is irritating with her smile, grates my nerves saying "you betcha", and really unqualified to run a gas station let alone a state. However i don't think demeaning her is any different than what rush did. Both should be pulled from the air over it.
