The National Organization for Marriage vows to hold legislators who voted against repealing New Hampshire's same-sex marriage law 'accountable'.

NOM Disappointed in New Hampshire House Failure to Enact Compromise Legislation | NOM Blog

Heh. NOM is going to 'hold accountable' all 211 legislators in one small state? Good luck with that!

Hold them accountable for what exactly? Upholding the constitution?

The New Hampshire vote should be a wake-up call. The New Hampshire House is 74% Republican (they hold 295 of 400 seats), and yet they only got 116 votes -- 29% of the entire chamber, and well under half of all Republicans -- to vote for repeal.

The writing is on the wall ...

NOM is also urging people around the world to boycott Starbucks because of Starbucks' support for same-sex marriage in Washington state. I'm sure the boycott will be a big success.

Dump Starbucks - Why dump Starbucks?

I am not for mandates to make a church perform same sex marriages. But I agree that in the eyes of the government that all citizens should be given equal treatment.

There is no mandate that will force churches to perform any marriage. The 1st amendment guarantees that.

so a gay PERSON should marry a straight person? and you think that's the way it's supposed to be.... EVEN FOR GAY PEOPLE?

wow, talk about totalitarian.

I'm gay and I live in North Dakota and when I find someone i won't live here because we can't marry. sucks that i have to leave all my family and friends to do something so simple that they can do while living here, because of people like you who think that everyone in the world is straight and is just 'pretending' to be gay.

P.s. not everybody is the same!!

Doesn't surprise me. The conservatives will be kicking and screaming through the whole thing just like during the Martin Luther king era and interacial marriage. They still hate abortion after all these years. I guarantee they will be fighting this years from now. Anyway great news

I was born and raised here so I had no choice. Plus my dad's side of the family has been here since the 1800s. My mom's side has been here since the late 1960s. So they were here first. But what does that have to do with anything? Homosexuality is still immoral regardless of where I live. Most people I know don't approve of it either.
