Canadians,

Do you understand you're a heterogenous WHITE, EUROPEAN population of 35 million? Yeh, I know, you're diverse because Toronto has a lot of different cultures blah blah blah, save it, you're homogenous. You have that big country rich in natural resources shared amongst just THIRTY FIVE million people who are all similar. Our illegal immigrant population is greater than your entire nation's population when you really think of it. Your nation doesn't come close to having the potential issues ours has.

I'm tired of hearing from Canadians about how special and great they do things. Canadians don't even have total freedom of speech, a right we hold so dear in the USA and one of the few rights that have been left unfringed by President after President who have otherwise trampled over our Constitution.

Canadians, quit trying to apply the way you run things to the way the United States does in your editorials, opinion columns and snide posts on this forum. The USA is vast, our people are diverse, our position in the world is different, and the solutions to the issues Americans face are different than those in Canada.

These democratic socialist ideas work in heterogenous countries with small populations, I am not debating that. They work great in Norway and in Canada, but not in the US, not in a country of 300+ million.

Why should Canada care about America?

Are Americans crossing the border to mow grass in Saskatoon?

It'll be fine, we just have to spend more money.

Racist.

Canada was smart enough **not** to bow down to the pressure of the financial industry in the late 90s and early 2000s and refused to deregulate their financial sector. It isn't a surprise to find today that they weathered the global economic meltdown quite well and are considered to have one of the best banking infrastructures in the world. Building a country on a credible economy is how you make a powerhouse. Meanwhile the US for the past 30 years has destroyed the economy as much as possible to appease lobbying interests by writing the rules and laws on the books for them. The Savings and Loan Crisis, Dot Com Bubble, and the 2008 meltdown were no flukes, they were the results of the rampant corruption plaguing our politics due to kickbacks from the financial industry. The American Dream is just a bubble at this point.

I guess that when you're that far North, it's hard not to look down on everything else.

We care about America and Americans because you are our next door #1 friend and neighbor, #1 ally, we are both each others #1 trading partner and we share the world longest undefended border in history and we also share the same culture and values and both of our country's history are intertwined together.
