If these people want to work more overtime, they should be able to. Now they are worried they will not be able to make enough money to support their families. They must be really happy that we Americans improved their working conditions.

Working overtime is the only sure-fire way to support families?

That's not good. Sounds like too many people are over-leveraged (or underpaid?).

Since this is China, I don't suppose i'm surprised.

If you are required to work overtime on a regular basis, management needs to hire another person.

They aren't losing any money. They will be making more per hour and the same amount per check just working less hours.
