I heard about this, but had not seen the commercial.

I honestly don't get it. The commercial is just your run of the mill commercial. She's just singing about chicken and making a buck for herself - so what?

You took the words right out of my mouth.

If nothing else, this only serves as ammo for those City Data regulars that love to come into black related threads and go on about how ALL blacks are ALWAYS complaining about EVERYTHING.

Some of you are clearly OBSESSED with everything black, which is understandable. We're quite special.

I'll tell you what got me chuckling; your first sentence: "It seems blacks are always upset about stereotyping them... "
A sentence with a superb combination of irony and hypocrisy.

And the fried chicken

Especially with the Trayvon Martin case. Any crime where a black person is the suspect and a white person is the victim it's compared regardless of the fact they are nowhere close to being the same.

Then there are the questions about Al and Jesse not protesting that......and then the criminals look like Obama's son. It's so stupid.

I think of hispanics liking tacos, and rice and beans.. so what.

Italians- loving pasta dishes... so what.

Chinese -rice and vegetables. so what.

Irish -potatoes and corned beef and cabbage. so what.

Etc, etc. etc.

Why are blacks offended about everything.. get over it. It is silly.

Fried chicken is very popular with everyone . So what.

And so it all the above foods that most Americans love.

Maybe we should compile a list of things blacks aren't offended about and then go from there.

Some folks are perpetually unhappy. I'm Black and love fried chicken, what of it? I'm not particularly fond of watermelon though.
