Not only are they cheering for one, they have done their best to make sure our nation doesn't recover from the recession.

With an election coming up and the economy not exactly roaring you would expect the DNC Chair to say anything different?

As a note: high fuel prices are going to spike any recovery.

So a blog report on what the DNC chairman says is now "fact" and includes all Republicans ?

My it doesn't take much to move the "collective" does it ?

There is nothing new here. The Republicans have wanted to hang a bad economy around President Obama's neck since 2010.

If the economy is getting better, which it is albeit slowly, then Mitt Romney's "I'm the guy that can fix the economy" campaign strategy is a non-starter.

And the Dems did the same in 2008..hang it on Bush's neck.
And Obama's promise in 2008 was the same as Romney's now.."Elect me, I can fix it".

No we're rooting for time to make a change with a new more effective leader. The current one's not doing his job very well.

Well, by definition they have to hope that the economy doesn't improve before the elections. That's to be expected. The Democrats would do the same if they were aiming to retake the White House.
