Things are rough all over...

"Christine Faith Baker, a 45-year-old Manatee County woman was jailed Friday after she allegedly offered an undercover officer sexual favors in exchange for a double-cheeseburger.

According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, an undercover vice officer was patrolling the area looking for prostitutes when he reportedly approached Baker and asked her if she wanted a ride."

That's pretty sad. Ironically, I bet McDonalds is hiring.

I recall an episode on COPS where a vice officer got a huge kick out of bargaining a prostitute down to like $5, and then busting her. Adding insult to injury. I think most vice cops are sick freaks barely removed from the Gary Ridgeways and Ted Bundys who stalk and kill hookers. If I were king I'd put the vice cops behind bars and let the prostitutes go on their way.

Sadly, in this economy, it was a waste of tax money. Glad it made headlines though

Yeah really, the double-cheeseburger can be found on the $1 menu - so what can that buy you?

Wait, what crime was committed? How is this any different than a guy taking a chick out for dinner at a resturant and then sexing her afterwards?

I was feeling a bit sympathetic to the woman's story until I got to the part where she suggested a tip which made it apparent that the burger request was just a poor attempt to evade a solicitation charge.
