What a life that must be.
So does everyone have to answer before us "normal people" to decide whether someone's life is worth living or not? I feel so very sorry for you, that you actually believe some people's lives are worthless. Totally sick and disgusting.

So "pretty much" braindead is the new norm. Up from just being plain braindead. Pretty soon, my life will be considered worthless with mild ADD.

If I have no motor control and am pretty much braindead, I hope someone has the decency to euthanize me.

Would I say they're worthless? No. But I wouldn't even say they're alive at this point. When the only thing separating them from the grass on my lawn is genetic makeup, that ain't living.

This is awful beyond words.

She should be allowed to make this decision - what will happen to them if/when she dies?

I really don't understand people who think that 'life' should be preserved at all costs. If there is no quality of life, there is no life.

The liberals here said their lives are worthless, which is the most disgusting thing I've ever read on this board. I can't believe liberals try to pretend to be these quality of life experts about caring for the poor, yet actually think they have the moral capacity to determine the worth of other people's lives.

The decision should be left between the doctors and the family.

It's in my medical folder that if I'm brain-dead, incapable of basic bodily functions on my own, and have zero chance for recovery, I would like a nice, quick, and painless death. I don't want to be one of those people who are kept alive purely by machines for 5, 10, 15, 20+ years.

I would do the same thing.

It's sad but that is not only destroying 2 people's lives it's destroying everyone around them.
