I've been hearing and reading this being asserted more and more and as a result of the Court's decision on DOA I've heard it more than ever. So my question is how does this "right" work in the real world?

hmmm, I didn't know that right was taken away of course unless the mother and or father is incarcerated or a druggie. Next thing we know they will demand to be able to drop kids off on your doorstep and you will be legally obligated to take care of them
