Oh please
I have seen more nasty misogynistic and bigoted posts from RWNJs re: Mrs Obama on this forum more than ever....and most of it comes from older men 50-70 year olds who support oxycontin rush.
The far right has alienated most women and minoriities. Rudeness, bullying and hatred cannot be covered up by this futile PR job.
Boy oh boy am I glad to be beyond your age group. Being 79 may be what makes me think that Michelle looks pretty good as long as she doesn't have her lips closed. I am older men but don't think I have said anything too bad about her other than to laugh at those who use the name Moochelle. I first saw that name in an article by Michelle Malking and nearly died laughing about how long it would be before lefties started calling her that. However, I don't think many left leaners read her in their desire to protect their so clean brains.
I used to see the same kind of things you describe about Bush's wife all the time from lefties, but then Obama did call for us to not do like that anymore, didn't he.=?
A better question; will progressives be able to excercise some self-control this campaign season and not go to their usual vile, misogynistic insults against this gracious woman? Or will it be business as usual.........
I doubt it.. they have the divide and conquer attitude. Conservatives hate everything is their message.
As far as msnbc goes, they hate and say the low class things on a daily basis.. I was clicking around and came across msnbc and there in the left hand corner was a statement. Mitt Happens.. low class if I ever saw a worse set of standards they adhere too.
Hate vile, sick, dirty, and above all constant diet of it. I guess their supporters love it if they watch it and use the same low class word fare as the disgusting low class characters that appear on msnbc.. a mirror image.
I found this this morning and it brought a smile to my face. I don't plan to vote for the Romneys, but I still think that they're actually nice people. And frankly, we need more of these positive comments going across the aisle, instead of the pot shots and the hatred. Good for Ann Romney.
Now the question is, will Republican voters despise Ann Romney for saying something positive about the first lady?
as a republican, i find ann romneys comment refreshing in this day in age. all too often candidates and their supporters, including their wives, make some nasty comments, some subtle, some not so subtle, about the competition.
i think ann romney would make a wonderful first lady.

How can or would you think anyone would be influenced by a classy comment like that? Good for Ann Romney. BTW, there are many Republicans that can see positve things about Mrs Obama and even about Pres Obama. That doesn't mean we overall approve of them or support their views. I am one who likes her project, obesity in Children. I think she carries it too far, but I admire her for trying to educate us all about nuitrition and exercise. I admire the pres for giving up smoking and being, what appears to be a very good family man.

I'm with you on that! I find it really distasteful when the spouses and children of candidates are dragged through the mud merely because they are the spouse/child of someone running for office or in office. Both sides do it and I don't like it, no matter who the target. Any small step towards decreasing polarization makes me happy.

Well, Lady Obama IS lovely, in appearance and in nature, and I would expect any well-raised person to be respectful of our First Lady, regardless of her actual sentiments. Just because there are those out there that seem to have been raised by wolves, I would hope the majority of us are mature, civil adults.
As for that being the criteria for voting, I hope every voter is looking at the situation this country is facing, and vote for the most competent person on the ticket to carry us forward to a better future.
We didn't like her "for the first time in my life, I'm proud of my country" statement. Her husband was just elected president and this is what she says?
So pardon us if we can't seem to get over the shi--iest thing a first lady elect has ever said.
And what do comments about her weight and appearance have to do with her comments exactly?
