Actually that's not correct at all. You don't have to perform any act do be homosexual. There are plenty of gay people who have never had sex with a person of the same sex but they are still gay. Being gay is no more voluntary than being short is.

What definable characteristic makes them homosexuals if not an act of homosexuality?

Posting this picture, I do think you are going to get much interest in any gay plights...

And it certainly does not add to the argument that gay is normal.

You're contending that celibate heterosexuals aren't heterosexual? I wonder where bisexual individuals fall in your classification?

Good question.

And why is the USA so filled with homosexuals who want to shove their lifestyles down everyone's throat, no pun intended.

It's sickening.

I didn't know it was until I started posted on the Politics and Other Controversies Forum. But seriously, I guess it depends on how people define bigots. I define it as somebody who hates gay people. Others define it as somebody who doesn't believe in gay marriage. I know plenty of people who have gay friends and relatives, yet they don't believe in gay marriage. I wouldn't call them a bigot, but other's would. Some are religious, some aren't.

So why do heterosexuals do it all the time?
43.5% of heterosexual men
36% of heterosexual women.

There are far more straight people doing 'it' than there are gay men doing 'it'.

But this begs the question: Does your whole life revolve around sex acts?
Because gays and lesbians have a lot more going on in their lives than sex acts: Love, friendship, commitment, family, careers, spirituality or religion, dreams...

That you can ONLY focus on certain sex acts says a lot about you, not gay and lesbian people.

Considering how obsessed with sex acts of other people the anti-gay bigots are, I would say it's actually the same question.

Why do some here act as if Only America hates gays(we don't but they sure act as if the country does)? Look, each person who opposes gay marriage has his or her personal reasons for doing so. Some is personal moral beliefs that goes back to their personal faith. Some just hate. The ones that just hate can't be swayed by forcing it upon them. Most of these types hate a lot of things. Freedom of religion is in the constitution. Personally, I don't care about gay marriage anymore. To me it's not an important political topic and the republican party should not make it an issue. They should focus on national debt, national defense, and those things specifically spelled out in the Constitution as the duties and responsibilities of the US Legislature and nothing else. Now if gay marriage is made legal, I don't care. What I do care is if the federal or state government try to force religious institutions to perform marriages for gay couples against their (the church, temple, or mosque) wishes. Financially, it would be good if these places willingly performed gay marriage ceremonies. But if they choose not to based upon religious reasons and regulations, they should not be forced to do so. Can you imagine the federal government trying to force a Mosque to perform a gay marriage ceremony? Catholic priest are limited to what they can do based upon Vatican church law. It's very rigid but at least they don't advocate executing homosexuals. Baptist and non-denominational churches have greater leeway and may allow the switch depending on the congregation and beliefs. Don't know about Jewish temples. Just not that familiar with them. There's only one in my city. I'd guess your average temple wouldn't have a problem but the orthodox would be out of the question, although those curly locks are just so darned cute(hehe).
