American Women Who Died in the Vietnam War

Women in the military - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

With Memorial Day looming on the horizon. I'd like to take this time, to give my thanks and, moreover, my praise for the WOMEN, who have dawned a uniform and fought for (and along) side me.

We, as a nation, forget the sacrifices and LOVE, women have played in our armed forces. Many woman have given men, wounded and/or otherwise, comfort and solace. And, unfortunately, that meant during their last moments on this earth. However, they were there for "us." We should be there for them. Not too mention the women who have made the ultimate sacrifice. They gave their lives...

For the women in our armed services, those before and since, I salute you. YOU are truly the unsung hero's of the day.

THANK YOU for remembering the women who served this country!

Many in CD desperately need a history lesson in what women in the military have done for this country.

Thank you OP! I have many friends in the nursing community that were in 'Nam. It is my era and looking back on it decades later is still painful. While I wasn't in the service I did work as a nurse at a west coast VA hospital and saw many friends and HS class mates come through.

Thank you OP.

And I hope people stop by a cemetery to pay respect to those Veterans who lost their lives.
