An outstanding rebuttal to the tin foil hat crowd. My observations have been that the principal objection to the President, by his detractors, those most vocal, and most of those who post to these forums, is that there's a black man in the White House ... occupying a position the rednecks believe should be held by a white man ... by Divine Right. This comedian has done an excellent job showing what fools these critics are.
So when Bill Maher talks about "right wing nut jobs" now you know where he's coming from - his paycheck. No awards, no more Bill Maher HBO show. He's the perfect fit for HBO and it's why he couldn't cut the mustard on regular TV with the same schtick.
Couldn't cut the mustard? His show was on the air for 8 seasons, from 1993 to 2002. I have to wonder if you know the meaning of the phrase you just used.
"Radical" is relative and subjective. That's why Democrats like this issue. They can't defend Obama's record on spending, jobs, and the economy, so they float a subjective debate like this where they can slip n slide their way through the debate.
We post Obama's own words on the topic, yet still they come back with 'waiting for some facts...still waiting." Well it's going to be a long wait, because R's are going to keep returning to the issues that matter.
It's going to be like this from now till November--one distraction and diversion after another from Dems.
