More than 300 members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint marched in the Utah Gay Pride Parade in Salt Lake City on Sunday in a show of support for the LGBT community.

They wanted to send the message that love for the LGBT community is compatible with their faith.
This is a group of straight LDS members say they are accepting of human rights for gays. They call themselves "Mormons Building Bridges", and "Mormons for Marriage Equality".
My question is, how "accepted" are these Mormons by their fellow Mormons

It is cool if it reality or is it just a ploy to gain independent votes for Romney due to the President stance for equality.
300 out of how many of Mormons? Also I think you might have forgot the words "mostly former".
There were more people at my daughters 8th grade graduation from Catholic School.

Did you read the story? I didn't see "mostly former" anywhere.
You seem to be missing the point entirely. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints takes the position that homosexual behavior is sinful and that marriage should be between a man and a woman only. The 300 individuals who marched in the gay parade are practicing Mormons who disagree with their Church's stance on the issue of same-sex marriage. "The Church" has not had "a change of heart" but "the Church" is comprised of individual human beings, each of whom has a God-given right to follow his or her own conscience. Had I known about this group prior to the parade, I'd have marched with them. I am LDS, straight, and a left-leaning independent who plans to vote for Obama. I'd be willing to guess that most of the 300 people who did march, would describe themselves pretty much as I do. Some of us are actually able to recognize that even if we don't necessarily approve of someone's lifestyle, we do believe that all law-abiding American citizens should have the same rights under the laws of the land.
