farm labor is needed in america but its hard work.
in america convicts are for the most part deemed incapable of labor.
of course in china the "convicts" are magicially determined to be fit for work 100%.
in china lawyers with leg irons grow spinach to sell at walmart.

No... don't need illegals. Need a slave class. They can be legal, for all it matters. Why do you think we put so many people in prison? So they can't find a decent job. Get to washing them dishes, for your minimum wage..... heh.

As a kid I worked on farms. It did not pay much, and the hours were long, but I had no skills. I did lots of little odd jobs as a kid. I saddled horses for tourists at a Dude Ranch, and got paid in the use of their horses. I also rafted through watercress farms keeping the badgers away. I do not recall getting paid for that job, but it was fun.

When I got older, at around 14, I detassled corn in Nebraska. It paid better than working at a fast-food joint. When I finally started to obtain some skills, my jobs got better and better. Work is work, and I was glad to have it.

There are no caps on the H2A visas so really there should be no problem bringing in LEGAL guest workers. But better yet, have the farmers pay legal wages and benefits, maybe even extra when it's hard hot work and many Americans, even ex-cons would take the jobs.

Or quit the overly generous welfare handouts and we all know that the vast majority of welfare recipients are able-bodied, have two arms and legs and could work, but just don't prefer to work.

A lower standard of fashion while standing in line waiting for something?
