Oh, so you are saying the 70% unemployment amongst the blind is a result of discrimination and not their disability?
I think most of "discrimination" in America is of the same exact nature.
Yep--discrimination because people underestimate what blind people can do and often don't even give blind people the chance to show what they can do before declaring them incapable. But that's not my point for this thread. My point is that you can't take one success story and use it as proof that life is discrimination-free for everyone in that demographic. Even though Obama was elected into presidency, there were and still are a lot of people who think he shouldn't have been voted into presidency because he's Black/biracial/whatever you want to consider him. There are people still trying to prove he wasn't born in the U.S., or that he's Muslim, etc.--things that White presidents never had to face. No one ever questioned whether Bush or Clinton or Reagan, etc., were born in the U.S. and people just assumed they were all Christian. Why do you think that is? There still are racist people today, and Black people still face racism. Obama didn't magically erase all the racism that existed at the time of his being sworn into office.

What "people"? You know that to hire any disabled person you have to provide certain accommodations and from business perspective it often does not make sense. Its very unfortunate that people lose their eyesight but hiring blind people just for the sake of hiring is not a good idea either.
5. Only in America would we make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege while we discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just become American citizens.
This one ticks me off. I enjoyed the reporter that kept interupting his speech. Who Obama is going to pay for this!! Us (the Tax Payers). This isn't church Obamba preach it elsewhere. We all know you just want those votes. Meanwhile many foreigners do it the right way and go on a waiting list to come to America.
I am a Democrat and voted for him.
Honestly I think he is just a puppet for the House and Senate.
When he went with Unions and teachers whine about paying Health Insurance? For crying outloud the rest of us pay!!!!! Get in the real world!
The joke around here is to say"you are going Indepent Party or Green Party"
Republicians and Democrats are both crooked.
Everyone would be wise to Move to Australia.
